ABOUT

Kyrsten Leigh, an Alberta-based singer and songwriter, is a passionate artist dedicated to creating authentic, heartfelt, and emotionally resonant music.

With her most recent release, “Natural Disaster,” Leigh has introduced a unique blend of her strongwriter roots with an alternative twist, while her earlier singles carry a country core reminiscent of early Taylor Swift.

“World-schooled” through high school, living in 11 different countries, Leigh has been composing her own songs since the age of 11.

“I’ve grown up listening to country music radio,” she shares. “Country music has always had a magical gift for telling stories, which I admire immensely and I have always connected with.”

Over the past decade, Leigh has had the privilege of working with incredible artists and mentors, such as Emma Harding at Rockit Vocal Studios, cherishing the learning process that each project brings. Notably, she has worked with CCMA Award-winning engineer Johnny Gasparic and producer Dave Temple of MCC Recording Studio. She has also produced her own original music with her mentor, Canadian rocker-turned award-winning country artist, Dan Davidson

Most recently in April 2024 she attended writing workshops hosted by Emma Harding where she was mentored by Grammy Nominated Songwriter, Bonnie Baker, and got the chance to share the stage with Baker at the beloved songwriters stage at The Commodore in Nashville, TN, an experience that then took her into studio to record her most recent demo for Leigh’s original song; “Goodbye To I Do”; a song that is taking her songwriting to the next level.

“I am always writing,” Leigh reveals. “I’ve always got about 12 songs on-the-go at one time.”

Leigh’s music is a testament to her unwavering passion for crafting authentic and heartfelt lyrics. She strives to weave tales of life and love through her music, with a deep desire to touch hearts one song at a time.

“What I love about performing live in particular is seeing how my lyrics touch the hearts of the individuals in the audience,” she shares.

“When you see it in their eyes that they know what you’re singing about because they too have lived it – it’s a wild feeling and such an honor to share in that experience.”

Leigh’s music career has seen many milestones, including being a semi-finalist in the Road to The Mainstage competition, where she performed at the world famous Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta. She has also graced the stage at Canada’s Wild Outdoor Expo in Stony Plain, Alberta, and a performance at the well known and cherished songwriters night at The Commodore in Nashville – leaving audiences captivated with her powerful and heartfelt performances.

With Kyrsten Leigh, you can expect a fresh and innovative approach to country music, while keeping true to authentic country sound and storytelling – drawing from a wealth of diverse experiences and influences. Her unique sound and heartfelt storytelling are set to captivate audiences as she releases more music and singer her heart out on the stage.
